  1. Near the end of my 52 mile bike ride on this past saturday I experienced some pain between the thumb and first finger of my right hand. I iced it when I got home and by the next day the pain was gone. Is this a common problem with road bikes? Will wearing golves help?

This is the first bike that I have had with shifters on the brake levers.

    Has anybody else experienced this?

Yes gloves is a good idea and will help. Changing grip postion continuously with 5 minute intervals while you ride also helps.
