Hey man I am getting ready to go to Snowshoe in a few weeks. I got my 5th, Jr T and Bullit tuned up now. I will be with the wife and kid but I will have a whole day to put to the freeride park and DH shuttles.
Anything you can recommend about the shuttle and park and places to see and stay will be greatly appreciated.

The shuttle serves the trails on the western slope and the lift serves the eastern side (Shavers Lake basin). I'm going to be there the weekend after next and would be glad to show you around. The family might enjoy the Cass Scenic railroad ride. The restaurants on the mountain are fairly expensive and there isn't any off the mountain. (read "Captive Audience"😉 But the food is excellent. Foxfire Grille is my favorite. Many units have kitchens so you can prepare your own meals.
Be prepared for weather. It's often cold and foggy in the morning even in July/Aug. The village is on top of the mountain and is exposed to the wind and it can get fairly chilly at night. But cooler days are great for riding in body armor!
