  1. Markus Zberg was one of 12 that fell rahter heavily during
today's stage in the Tour de Suisse. He was moved to the
hospital by helicopter where it was determined he broke (or
injured at least, what's the difference between geknackst
and angeknackst?) one of his neck vertebrae.

    From tourdesuisse.sportal.de600061 vo
    diesem Wege gute Besserung.

I translated as spinal column, but no argument there.

Any definitive reports on his condition and prognosis yet?

  3. DS Holzer right now on TV: No Helicopter transport as
reported by some sources, Udo Boelts is with him in
Hospital, no confirmation in any direction yet.

Steinhauser ( Jan best buddy) also involved, also went to
hospital, but should not be so serious as with Beat Zberg.

I read on Eurosport that he fell into a ravine and has "dislocated cervical vertebrae". Funny when I first read it, I thought he fell 33m into the ravine (that would be a long drop!) but re-read it and the crash happened 33Km into the stage.
