  1. I am new to this group.

As a gerontologist, I enjoy sharing my expertise in issues
related to aging with people throughout the world. In my
research, I have found that people with diabetes are often
non compliant because they get bored with the standard
diabetic diet and want to revert back recipes that seem more
    appealing.

It is no secret that Diabetics need carefully controlled,
well- balanced meals. But that doesn't mean they have to be
limited to the same dull thing over and over. With a little
effort and creativity, meals can be fun, nutritious, and
delicious. With the permission of the moderator, I'd like to
share some delicious sugar-free foods with the group.

    Happy eating!

    Diabetic Pasta Salad

Why do they insist on feeding diabetics pasta? Is it because
it is low fat? If I were diabetic I would pick a lower-
    glycemic food.

  3. Pasta is a low-glycemic food. Something about the durum
wheat or the way it is made causes it to have a lower gi
    profile. -- M9

  4. Watch out for that canned spaghetti rubbish. That's
    made of flour.

I actually managed to source some Chana Dahl recently from
a shop in Byron Bay. Trouble is, it had moths all through
it. Although it's grown in Australia, it seemed like a 3rd
    world product.

BTW Chana Dahl has a GI of 7 or something stupid.

  5. It is still a refined grain poison.
