A Tunnel Too Far

  1. Does anyone with knowledge of or interest in the Pyrenees,
    know of a plan to construct a tunnel beneath the
    Vignemale. If anyone has heard of this would they please
    respond. As someone who has known the area for over twenty
    years I feel passionately that such a scheme would be an
    unnecessary and catastrophic intrusion into an area of
    outstanding natural beauty.

    That's because there isn't any - those sites are part of his
    standard .signature file. What he should have said is 'GIYF'
    (Google is Your Friend).

    www.google.com 'Vignemale tunnel' and get 358 hits (most of
    them not in English, of course, but there is always the
    'translate' feature - good for a laugh if nothing else.)
