I drove from mid Wales to London on Monday evening during
England's last match expecting the roads to be empty. If
anything the A44 from the border to Oxford and in particular
the Worcester to Oxford section were more busy than usual.
The final stretch along the M40 was, however, noticably less
crowded. Bugger all use to cyclists, though.

Yes, but that doesn't make the roads clear! And as for the
football... I used to enjoy kicking a ball around in an
informal stylee. I couldn't stand playing it properly. And I
certainly couldn't be bothered to waste my evening watching
someone else play it properly.

I have better things to do... like work out how to pitch the
tent I've just bought. Turned out to be reasonably obvious,
but a set of instructions wouldn't have done any harm!

Well I don't know what the roads were like a 7:30 but round
here they were clogged at 6:30. Everyone "rushing" to get
home for the match I suppose.

Is it still the football season? I thought it was tennis
time. I think it's tennis anyway - the one you play with a
sort of stringy bat thing and a fishing net. Whatever
happened to cricket, does anyone still play it? cheers
