What kind of eye wear do you wear?

Oakley Valve, they are prescription. Great glasses but I wish they had the rubberized earpieces.

I used a pair of Oakley M frames until one of the ear pieces broke. After that I decided to see what Performance Bike had. Some of their sunglasses are actually pretty nice. I use a pair of Performance Radial II Multilens sunglasses now, and have been happy with them. The lens quality is not quite that of Oakleys, but not enough to bother me. The Radial II's retail for ~$45, but I got them on sale for about 30. If they break, no biggie. They're wraparound style, so I get the wind protection I like, but way cheaper than a pair of Oakleys.

If money is no object, go with the M frames. They're sweet! But I couldn't justify buying another pair to get the relatively small benefit compared to the cheaper Performance ones.

I have a pair of Smith Sliders. They're the original model (now there are about a dozen different styles) and I've been pretty satisfied with them. They came with three pairs of interchangable lenes; smoke, orange and clear. It's super easy to change lenses and I've had them for about four years and they're still in very good shape. I think I paid about $60 for them. The newer ones vary in price I think.

Send those Oakleys back bro! They have a good warranty replacement policy and will probably take care of you. I have had a few issues with snomobile goggles and sunglasses and they helped my once for free and only charged $25 to fix the other issue. It's worth a shot if you still have them.

I use cheap plastic wrap arounds I bought at the grocery store for $10.

I can see just fine through them and notice very little if any difference between them and more expensive brands at the sunglass store or LBS.

Also I don’t feel bad when I drop them or lose them, I just go buy another pair. Anytime I have spent a lot of money on expensive sunglasses I seem to damage them or loose them and then I am annoyed for spending the money on them

I use a pair of smith sliders as well. When riding road, I wear the orange lenses. They work really well.

Rudy Project Kerosene but I will be changing soon to their Rydon model since the current one's are getting a bit scratched after a couple of years.
They look good and keep the sun and insects/magpies out of your eyes.

Nothing but Oakley. I wear both the half jackets and the M frames. I think the half jackets are a bit heavy for road riding, they just feel bigger since they dont have the nose rubber. I use the M's with a vented sienna lense, VR28 I think Oakley calls it, and I use the half jackets for all kinds of things. I have clear lenses for Military business, polarized for driving, and vr28's for MTB.

Oakleys are pricey, but they are the best.

I was using Smith Ambush glasses for about seven years until my son recently stomped on them and broke the frames in three places.

I replaced them with some Bolle Vangel 795s from Campmor.com for $40. They are polarized, have sticky rubber nose and ear pieces, and do a good job of keeping wind out of my eyes. Like most sport-type glasses, they look pretty weird when you're not on your bike, but at $40, I can afford to get another pair for "normal" use.

I really like having polarized lenses, but I have noticed some bike computer displays are almost unreadable with polarized glasses, so check before you buy...

Rudy Project Kerosene w/ a clear lens. I use contact lenses instead of Rx clips though.

Cheap cycling ones I found on ebay (about $USD15). Very lightweight, crystal clear and reasonably good. Probably the only weakness is that they don't keep all wind out.

I can't belieeeeeve people who wear nothing on their eyes just because it's not sunny. All sorts of damage can be done to your eyes by strong wind and other [censored].

I have some old Time sunnies, and for clear glasses, I just buy any cheap [censored] for $10

Some people also suggest that if you don't wear sunnies, the squinting from wind and glare is an unnecessary waste of effort, and takes your concentration away from the road.

Seriously, I wear the Pro M's. Oakley also makes a racing jacket which I'd be willing to try. They have the air vents to keep the lens fog free.

I have 4 pairs of Oakleys and wont even think of wearing anything else. I have the half jackets for riding because of the easy lense change; day to night really fast. Also, if the lenses get hacked to bits, it isnt very expensive to replace them. The warranty service is great, just takes time...the half jackets have slightly less peripheral than the M's...make sure they fit your face...whatever you get...spend the money and get quality and fit...like your bike, they should fit like a glove.

I've used Oakleys in the past. They are great glasses but it seems that in recent years they've become the eyewear of choice for the NASCAR/trailer-trash/mullet-wearing set. Unfortunate.

Yea, I got the basic 'M' Frames 'sweep' style. I also got the clear lens for riding on non-sunny days.

tried half jackets and other oakleys, then a friend in a glasses shop got me hooked on Native. incredible. love them way more than oakleys. lifetime warranty on frame and all the lenses. i got the Silencer model, which is a full frame with 4 sets of lenses that can switch in and out with ease. plus, the dark lenses are polarized, which is great.
