J.E.M. Trail ~Video~

month since my camera turned off for more than half of this trail.
Unfortunately, the part that got misses was some fantastic ST along
the Virgin River with the edge of a 40 foot vertical drop a constant
reminder five feet away on your left not to mess up. The views were
stellar. We did this as a point to point (A.K.A. shuttle but it was
justified) since we had already ridden 4.5 hours on Gooseberry Mesa.
ONe of our members volunteered to sit this one out which meant he
coudl drive the vehicle from the drop off spot at the top of the hill
to the pick up spot at the bottom. That left us with a 36 minute,
almost totally downhill but all ST run to finish out the day. Except
for the stellar views, the areas of trail missing from the video were
very much like what you do see. Some more rocky sections but by and
large the trail was nice, buff, and pretty fast at times.

But, since the camera shut off I figured I didn't have enough footage
to throw a video together. Well, yesterday I decided to do something
with it so here ya go.

it took me a good long time to find a song best representing the day
so I hope the effort is appreciated ;-)

Oh yeah, although I had a good 20 minutes of tape, only about 2.5
made it into the final production...........

Now that's my kind of trail. I'm heading to sin city in November (COMDEX).

Hey, fun video. Looks almost exactly like a race course SW of us
about an hour on the Snake River called Barking Spider.

That's hilarious. The funniest part is, I knew it too.
Didn't take long to pick up sister Jan's solo parts.

Gawd, they tortured us with that [censored] when we were little
farts back in the early 70's. Staring at the little screen
on Friday nights with a mouthful of frozen pizza and Fanta
Red Cream Soda. Now after 30+ years I can remember the lyrics
to that stupid fscking song like I wrote them myself.

It IS! I rode it twice last week. It hooks up with the Gould's
Rim Trail to make a nice big loop. We rode it the first day we
were in the area, then spent three days doing Gooseberry and
Little Creek stunt-riding.

We went back again and started the loop from the bottom,
climbed over to the radio/cell tower area TH for Gould (closer
to Hurricane), then rode the loop counter-clockwise, finishing
up with the J.E.M. Nice singletrack, and a mellow place to cool
down from the relatively intense riding up on Gooseberry.

has the Virgin River exposure mentioned earlier. Second one

The Hurricane, UT area kicks butt. Never bothered to go down
that far before. But it's really nice.

I caught it. I'll blame it on the enthusiasm of it being my first helmet cam
video :-)
I like the views he was able to get with this video---I'm not to hot on the
music though...
