Ouch. That may be a little heavy for you. I have a Yeti Kokopelli
Ultralight. It weighs about 25.5 pounds and kicks ass! You can get one
fully loaded for less than your top-out price. They are also local to your
state.

told me.

I think I'll like the Klein better, anyway ... gonna try to test it out
today and see what happens.

Kona did introduce their bikes a bit earlier then everyone else last year, but
considering it's a high end bike, I can't believe they would not have been
willing to locate one at another shop, no matter how far away, to get you one.
I'll bet they wouldn't charge you five extra dollars for it either LOL!

Too bad you're not in L.A. One of my LBS's has a whole [censored] load of
Kona's. There were having a little demo ride thing going last weekend too.

There wouldn't be much of a difference, if indeed you are referring to the
Kikapu Deluxe, when you say "Deluxe". Same bike, just different components.

There wouldn't be much of a difference, if indeed you are referring to
the Kikapu Deluxe, when you say "Deluxe". Same bike, just different
components.

Yup. I think it was the fit that fundamentally didn't do it for me.
Then again, it came equipped with superwide handlebars, and that may
have thrown me off more than it should have, even though I tried to
mentally compensate for it.

Anyway, after today's ride with the Klein, I am 90% sure I will get it.
Just a matter of having them adjust the !@$!!@ drivetrain on this demo
bike so that I can see proof that it will willingly shift from the
smallest ring to the middle without a fight.

They're a bit far for casual interest, but it's good to hear your
endorsement. After perusing their website, I wasn't sure if maybe they
were a little sketchy ... their built bikes list a price but don't
specify the fork used, which just seems weird.
