  1. Anyone going on the "Hunter Bike Run" ?

I'll be there somewhere, still haven't decided
to do the whole 80k or pike out and go a shorter
    distance.

Anyway, I'll be there somewhere - might wear my
'Eurobike' jersey (blue & yellow) riding the blue
& silver avanti hybrid. Larissa is a bit too pregnant to
    co-pilot the tandem with me.

So if you see me, come say 'ello.

PS> entry is $25 on the day, $14 students.
Distances of 33, 63, 70 or 80 km. It should be
mostly flat, except for stockton bridge.
AFAIK the route (not shown on the entry form) goes
up north of Newcastle around stockton & hexam etc.

  2. Hey, I'll be there...look for a silver Cannondale F300 with an
old, ugly, unfit looking bugger aboard. I'd say the 70 km loop
    will pull me up.

    Didn't see you.

Do you know how many people turned out? Looked like
    around a thousand to me.

There was a terrible gale on the way back, not that
there was a downhill, but if there was you'd have to pedal
    down it.

  4. I was there...took my time because of the wind. I think NBN News quoted
between 500 and 600 riders on the day. Suppose the wind would have kept
    a lot away.
