I'll be there somewhere, still haven't decided to do the whole 80k or pike out and go a shorter distance.
Anyway, I'll be there somewhere - might wear my 'Eurobike' jersey (blue & yellow) riding the blue & silver avanti hybrid. Larissa is a bit too pregnant to co-pilot the tandem with me.

PS> entry is $25 on the day, $14 students. Distances of 33, 63, 70 or 80 km. It should be mostly flat, except for stockton bridge. AFAIK the route (not shown on the entry form) goes up north of Newcastle around stockton & hexam etc.
I was there...took my time because of the wind. I think NBN News quoted between 500 and 600 riders on the day. Suppose the wind would have kept a lot away.
