early sunday morning, i got up to take care of my dogs while my
boyfriend was sleeping. when i opened the pantry to feed them, i found
that ants had discovered the dog food, and there were ants swarming
everywhere- a black moving tide.
not being at my best in the morning, i screamed and screamed at the top
of my lungs.
so my bf is woken from a deep sleep by my screaming. what does he think
would make me screech like that in the early hours of sunday? loss of a
limb? dead body in the yard? nope. from the bedroom he asks, concerned,
"did LANCE fall down???"
just a few years ago he complained about how the bike racing season was
a trial to him, and now at the sound of my distress he's worried about
LANCE and not me. i hope you are happy 🙂

EWWWW! We have ants and sometimes I'll find a big swarm of them. Last night,
I found some kind of huge milliipede on the wall, but didn't scream because
my boyfriend was asleep. I just went EWWWW silently and killed it with my
flipflop. When I find a big swarm of ants, I get the dirt devil and suck
them up!
The only time I screamed in the morning was when I got up the morning of an
exam, after a horrible night's sleep, due to anxiety. And there was a dead
mouse right in the middle of the living room floor. It was like 6 am and I
too am not a morning person, so I went YAAAAAA! That woke Matt up. We'd been
having a mouse problem for some time and I think the building management had
gotten complaints and put down some poison. My neighbor also found a dead
mouse. I was just glad that it died out in the open and not in a closet or
some place hidden!
