  1. Eurosport will cover the whole stage tomorrow from start to finish. I'll be
in front of the TV at 10.00 am until approx. 18.00 hours. If they don't
hurry up I'm going to have to hook up with my regular wednesday evening
clubride about thirty minutes out on the course, but it can be done after
    watching all those breakaways 😉
Two liters of Coca-Cola and a pack of Brownies should get me through the
day. Maybe I can time my munchies to the feedzones on the course. If it gets
too intense to sit still I can mount my trainer in front of the TV in 3
    minutes time.

I just can't wait to see what's going to happen in the mountains ahead.

Remember -- do not post to RBR if you are drunk
or too high on sugar (or methadone 😉.

I'm with you on that. For the GC battle, It has been 6 dull days
since the TTT. Looking forward to some fireworks.

Heh. I cut off work early here to get a bit of kip before live coverage
on Sky in NZ at 10:30, will be here right through till 3-4am probably.
Looks like they did a good thing of bringing this stage as the first
live coverage here, if the buildup is anything to go by.

I'm picking a 15 rider break to go near the end with all major GC
    contenders in it.

Last week of the Tour is going to be hell here, 6 live stages including
both TTs...Oh well, has to be one.

There's nothing like timing (at least part of ) your vacation to coincide
    with le Tour.

I've got my trainer already set up in front of the tv. The good think about
French television is that they have no commercials. The bad thing is that
they have a lot of really bad commentators. But I gather that's a common
problem. Maybe I'll listen to the Eurosport internet audio feed while I
    watch.

I don't recall that being true (about no commercials on French TV). Maybe
they call them something else (like the PBS sponsors or whatever), but I
recall watching French TV2, coming across a commercial after a bit and
switching to the identical coverage on TV3, which had slotted their
"sponsors" at different times. Seemed pretty dumb to me, unless they figure
the French haven't yet mastered remote controls...

As for Eurosport audio, as long as it's not David Duffield, fine. Otherwise
I'd rather try to pick out bits & pieces in French on TV2 or TV3.

Yeah ... I'm going to be in San Diego for pretty much all of the last week.
Here's hoping the hotel has OLN.

No they don't have commercials, but they do switch back between FR2 and FR3
a couple of times during the 7 hours of coverage. But if you switch with
    them, there is no interruption.

What a stupid joke, considering that taking methadone just about guarantees
    *you won't* "get high".

If you really want to be funny, you have to try harder than simply saying
anything that pops in to your head.
