  1. During tonight's coverage of the TdF the OLN commentator and Bob Roll
repudiated Greg Lemond's comments concerning Lance and drug use. Roll
said there is absolutely no evidence Lance is a doper, he doesn't
understand why Lemond is making these charges without evidence, but is
very distrubed by them. Roll said he loved Greg but his recent
    behavior greatly distrubs him.

  2. I think Greg has a very serious drinking problem. Betty Ford clinic is in his
    future.

Walsh book is a payday. Otherwise he could have put the O'Reilly accusations in
his newspaper column when her input was "news", not three and a half years
later, carefully timed to damage Lance and the Tour (for not rolling over for
him earlier), primary objective obviously to prevent Lance Armstrong from
winning #6 (and in a row).

Or has Walsh announced that he's donating every last cent of profit to a
charitable cause, and opened the books to "prove" (note "book"/"prove"
juxtaposition) that he isn't in this just for fame and money? --Tom Paterson

Lemond and a former Motorola team physician (Max Testa?) are interviewed at
length. The promos, I'm told by a friend, have them telling how they were
both threatened by Armstrong to keep them silent. Apparently, the doctor
provides information about a team doping program in place when he was there.

  11. Oh yes, I have a question for you. What pro team did Bob Roll ride for and
during which years? Sweet or salted butter, take your pick.

"The week after, I got multiple people that were on Lance ... Lance's
camp, basically saying 'you better be quiet,' and I was quiet for three
years," LeMond said. "I have a business ... I have bikes that are sold
.... and I was told that my sales might not be doing too well if ... just
    the publicity, the negative publicity."

Well, duh! You trash a fellow athlete and you expect sales to sore? I
thought Greg was supposed to be some kind of business whiz.

Seriously, did Le Monde get him loaded up on cheap wine before he spewed
    all this bile?

I'm under the impression that the article you quote is quoting from the
LeMonde interview. This is a new interview done by ESPN with Lemond and
another person who says he too was threatened by Armstrong. I suggest we
    watch and listen tomorrow morning.

I think you're going to find that as Lemond gets trashed, more people with
first hand knowledge are going to come forward. Lemond is well respected
and liked, probably more so in some circles than Armstrong. It will be
    interesting.

In some circles yes, but they're the tiny majority.
No one, nobody, zero, I know has much of an opinion of LeMond anymore except
"what the [censored] was he thinking when he says [censored] like that??!"

No answers to my questions again? Just another rectum remark? How many hundreds
of "convictions by testimony" have been reversed by DNA evidence so far, again?
"Only a few", was that the answer? It's been hundreds. --TP
