If you mean the crack, yes it was on the back side of the tube. The crack was horizontal, on the
circumference of the tube, not axially along the tube.

So the Vortex is actually sheet 6/4 titanium, rolled into a tube! I didn't know that. Thanks

Vortex uses rolled ansd welded, seamed 6/4 titanium. Is the weld on the back of the tube??
