Check out the 'Giro Semi MX' (http://www.giro.com/usa/cyc_semimx.html)
and the 'Giro Xen' (http://www.giro.com/usa/cyc_xen.html). The Semi is
shaped like a skate style helmet but includes a visor. The Xen has a
similar shape to the Semi but has more vents and a Roc Loc fit system
(and a hefty price tag). Both helmets give you more protection for the
back of the head than typical MTB helmets. Both are very nice helmets.
I use an older model Semi (with no visor) for trials. I haven't
splurged yet for a Xen.
