Does anybody know what the latest with this bike path development is (between Bexley Rd & Turrella Station)? According to the RTA's website, it's set to be completed this financial year - interesting, considering it hasn't been started yet! I know there was (is?) a movement to have it located away from the creek for environmental reasons, but there is no news either way. I don't agree with the environmental argument, as the area is pretty stuffed as it is (the 'creek' is concrete west of Bexley Rd) & opening it up & exposing it to people would lead to greater awareness (possibly leading to more work being done to recover the area).

I haven't been down there for over a year. Hope it's on the railway side of the creek, there was a nice little section of singletrack in Girrhaween Park it would be a shame to spoil it with a bike path.
