  1. I just took delivery of a Polar S725 Heart Rate Monitor.

The manual, on page A10, refers to "two spoke magnet options", one with a
screw and one which is rotated around the spoke with a metal sheath or
    "cover".

I only had the former in the box; the latter, sheath option, was missing.
Given the naturw of my spokes, I am thinking that the missing option might
    be better for me.

Is it that something dropped out of the box on the way? Or do all units
only have the screw magnet? (I am thinking that Polar perhaps changed their
minds after the manual was printed.)

Observations from any owners/dealers would e appreciated. Thank you.

My 720i came with both magnets, in a plastic bag along with some plastic
ties, instructions, etc. I bought a second speed sensor, and that also
came with both magnets. Judging from what your manual says, and the
similarity between the two units, it sounds like the pack you received was
    incomplete.

  3. Any spoke magnet will work. I picked up a Mavic magnet because it wasn't as
large as the ones offered by polar, and it seemed to install in a
cosmetically neater and more streamline fashion. Don't worry about it. Any
bike shop that sells conputers sells the magnets to which you are refering
for just a couple of bucks.

Thanks to both of you. I recognise that it's not a big deal; just somewhat
perplexed that in an otherwise seemingly new package this item was missing.
Makes me question the provenance of the whole thing. Oh, well, the online
dealer seemed reputable enough and said he'd get it resolved for me.

    Again, thank you.
