Someone I bought a Shockster from told me a LBS told him it couldn’t be used on aluminum framed bikes (my other Shockster models are aluminum colored so I assume that doesn’t apply).
I’ve tried a magnet to that Shockster and like the aluminum colored ones, it ain’t steel so it can’t be a galvanic-electrochemical issue.
Do the Shocksters put some sort of spreading stress on the aluminum frames they don’t tolerate?
