Pics of my Climbing Routes

Yep. Bigger and steeper than most hills around here. First one doesn't look too bad, but it's probably (obviously) the camera angle.

Wow, I was struck by the fact there are lots of people cycling on the route you posted. I basically have the hills in my area to myself, more or less. Of course, the reason for this is the weather over here being so rainy. Wish I'd known the rain would inevitably damage my lights and bike computer. I guess the weather in America and Australia has to be a lot better than over here.
I have dozens more pics of these climbs and I snapped a few mountain bikers I bumped into on route. I'll post these on Monday or Tuesday.
Maybe we should all post our most feared climbs on this forum. I was quite happy with the quality of my camera (seeing as it's an old one and they were my first pics).

I like the distance, the 10 miles. That's a great length for a climb, not too short like many nice climbs are.

Yes, I think that first one is the warm up before you get to the real S.O.B. I'll be doing these hills on a regular basis from now on seeing as I have the triple cog on my latest bike. You'll notice the bike in the pic isn't my Scott but the Carrera of old.
I think we drag behind a bit in sports in the U.K. due to the weather. Even David Millar moved over to France. However, if you're prepared to cycle in pouring rain there are no end of terrific climbs and nice scenic routes. Maybe in some ways I'd rather have a bad climate with lots of hill as opposed to great weather but too much flat.

Yes, the Bay Area has been blessed with very good weather. Perfect climate all-year long. Not too hot summer, not to cold winter and the rain is only during late fall till early spring and during the peak wintertime you can still ride. Also a lot of hills all over, you can never get used to it, that is, if you love climbing!!! 🙂
