  1. Hello all,

This is my first post in this group.

I am looking for a replacement mirror for an old (c. 1980s) RhodeGear
handlebar mirror which has cracked. The style of these mirrors was
simplicity itself. The mirror part is round (circular) and attached to
a bracket which is shaped for draping over the brake caliper
mounts/handles (not too sure what you call them). The bracket attaches
with a velcro strap around the caliper mount, and the whole thing is
very portable between bikes. The mirror is large, slightly convex and
provides excellent rear vision. I'm pretty sure these mirrors were
sold for at least ten years, and were fairly popular.

I brought one over from the USA (left hand mount) with me when I
immigrated in 1986, but it cracked in transit. I bought a right hand
mount in 1997 in Newcastle, and I'm kicking myslef for not having
replaced the carcked side then. Can anyone help me find a replacement?

Just the mirror part will do. I don't need the whole assembly, but
will take what I can get.

Thanks in advance, and keep on truckin'!
The best you can ever do is never make the same mistake twice.
