12v & two lamps with a SON

If you are powering a rear light, the primary lights should be 2.4W front
plus 0.6W rear, making a 3W load.

The secondary light needs to be the same, so should be 6V 3W (or strictly
speaking 0.5 Amps) As they are wired in series, the current flow is the
same through both.

Thanks that says it clearly, its what i thought too.

Do you have a 12v hub dynamo? Where did you get it?

I have a standard SON 28, bought from Kinetics in Glasgow, I got it in
April. SONs will output 12v at high enough speeds (>12mph). Unloaded my
SON outputs approx 1v per kph, but with a load the output is more

Don't forget you have to get a wheel built and the lights that will
work with the hub.
the shop built the wheel and fixed the lights on.
It is a beatiful bit of kit.
Ideal if you do a lot of riding at night in London.
