_ Dirt Rag has pretty honest reviews. I found a 29'er forum that
seemed pretty useful a while back via google, but I've lost the
reference. Dirt Rag has a 20'er forum, but it's not the one I'm
thinking of.

I never rode one, but a bud of mine had a Gary Fisher. At first he loved
it, but then he got better and missed the maneuverability. It seemed to me
that his tires were weaker then usual as well. *I*'ve never had that many
flats.

My brother likes his. Tom Purvis likes his.
I test rode one for a day and it was great cruising dirt roads, but seemed
to lack agility in technical stuff.
I like riding technical stuff so I stuck with traditional MTB wheels/frames.

Ordered a 04 GF 292 with Avid mech discs and am PSYCHED.
One new and interesting tidbit from the above links FAQ is that the
29er isn't as affected by brake bumps created by 26" wheels- this will
be a welcomed change indeed (at least till everyones on a 29er making
brake bumps...)
