You horrible man! By posting the address [email hidden] you
have ensured that [email hidden] will be picked up by
spambots and before you know where you are the spammers will be
buying and selling [email hidden] on the internets as
    spam-bait.

I am so glad I am not [email hidden], I would be really
    peeved.

Not necessarily. I use my live email address on usenet but I only get a few
'Add inches to your Branson' spam emails a day. OK, I suspect that the ISP
that hosts my mail server does a lot of spam deletions, and Mailwasher helps
    me control the rest.

On the other hand, my old freeserve mail address which I occasionally use
gets dozens of spam emails on a daily basis.

Probably not a very significant risk. I created an email account in
January 2005 especially to post to usenet a few times, just to see if it
collected any spam. It never did until I reposted it in September last
year, since when it's received 19 messages - 18 phishing emails and one
identity theft/advanced fee fraud. That's hardly an overwhelming
torrent of spam. Admittedly ntl now runs spam filters on email
accounts which is turned on by default and I forgot to turn it off on
this account until just now, so there may have been more [censored] chucked
this way, but anyone can run free local spam filtering if their service
provider doesn't do it for them.

I had a lot more luck contacting his website host, Wordpress.
After a couple of emails both ways I got this this morning,
    From: "Mark @ wordpress.com" <[email hidden]>
    Hi,
Many thanks - that blog has been removed and it will not be returning.
    Mark

    It's worth complaining sometimes :-)
