I recently got a Yeti AS-R SL and I love it. The problem I am having is the small chamber on the 5th Element Air shock it came with will leak down to zero if left long enough ... I've been told that some leak down is normal, but from 80 psi to 0 psi overnight seems excessive.
Anyone have this problem with this shock and know what to do to fix it??

I have two. Both leaked air and oil leaked into the air chamber. I keep the extra one as a spare so that I am not without my bike during repairs. The spare that I purchased was also defective, so when my original came back I sent the spare for repair. There was an updated seal if I remember correctly. I like the shock so much that I don't mind the investment in the second shock. The repair was good (Aug 2003) and I haven't needed the spare since then. I have the coil spring/air model and I ride an Intense Uzzi SLX set up for XC.

Your 5th leaking is fairly common. It's not supposed to though.
If you're looking at getting a new shock in the future get the
fox DHX 5.0 it blows the 5th away. Smooth, plush, and you
don't need tools to adjust the damn thing.
Make sure you check your shock before every ride even when
it's 'new'. Air preasure and look for oil on the shaft, there
shouldn't be any.

I don't want you to get the wrong idea. I have plenty
of friends that have not had any problems w/ their 5th.
I've also had a few that have. Remember the 5th has been
around longer than the DHX so more people have had more
time to like or dislike it.
I don't think the DHX has been around long enough for
problems to appear, but fox is a reputable company, and
I think they got it right this time.
