I swear, I saw her on the GVBR! She's 81 now!

Bloody [censored] carrying kids on the kid seat on the back, then towing
a trailer-pram thing with another kid in the back, and not doing too
bad a pace at all.

One of them with only the chariot on the back, but with lots of flags
with heaps of wind resistance flew past me up several hills.

And then there's the case of the family with the women who only gave
birth something like 2 months ago. The 2 month baby was on the ride.

There were people like that on Alp d´huez at this years Tour. Some were just flying up with their kids in tow and the kitchen sink! Some riding what looked like crappy city/commuter bikes. I reckon one women had a child so young in tow it was being hauled up by the umbilical cord. It was pretty cool to see.

It was originally published in either the Herald or Sun in 1981. It can also be found published in "Moments in Time - Great Images of the 20th Century", in a double spread on pages 212-213. Found this book up for sale when working down at Webb Dock, you know the workplace book sales where you can browse & pay when the sales rep visits once a week etc.

Caption: "Pootchie gets a 360-degree view and plenty of fresh air as owner Beverly Whitehurst of Williamstown, takes her mother, Elsie, and the dog on a shopping trip in 1981".

Unbelievably bloody inspirational! Wonder what Bev is up to now? Who built that amazing rig?
