When I've ridden with trike riders round here, they've often had trouble on the single track roads which have two strips swept clear by car tyres and a messy/broken up/grass growing strip down the middle. Seems it very difficult to place the trike so one of the wheels isn't caught in the centre strip.
I've encountered this, though on the narrow track trikes its sometimes possible to keep all 3 wheels on the clear bit. Otherwise its drive wheel down the middle, other wheels each side.
