Cross bike with horizontal dropouts? Do they assume anyone with enough
cash to buy this bike would have a spare bike in the case of a rear
flat?

I can only guess that you have never tried to remove a rear wheel from a
bike with such dropouts. It's easily done, even with a derailer. But I
would agree that would be a silly thing, as vertical dropouts are
clearly easier to deal with.

I have a friend with a Cervelo P2 or whatever. It took 2 of us to get
the rear wheel out and clear of the derailleur. Compared to vertical
dropouts, I can't see how they can really think it's remotely as fast.

Removing the wheel is faster. It's putting it back that takes slightly
longer, if anything.

Also, it appears to be a custom frame for someone that presumably ordered
it like that.
