Sorry if this is off-topic, but is there anyone out there that can give me SIMPLE instructions on how to add an avatar onto my forum profile? I finally found a decent photo of me on a bike, when I tried to add it, the system said the photo was too big. I resized to "best for web"-too big. jpeg-too big. bpeg-too big. I don't even know what the hell jpeg and bpeg are, big they are too big to fit onto this forum.
I should mention that I'm a computer moron.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The quick and dirty solution is to open the picture in MS Paint, Edit->Select All, then Image-> Stretch/Skew. Shrink it about 75% in both directions to start with, save it with a different file name, and repeat as needed.

SIMPLE artmichalek, SIMPLE. OK, thanks. I'll try that. Actually, I think I'll go find a third-grader to help with this. Being computer illiterate is hard. Now, where's the damn SEND button?!😠

It depends on what graphics program you are using. The easiest way is to change page size and set it to 80 x 80 pixels (which should be an option), then just drag the image bigger or smaller to fit best, then save it.

Maybe I should stick with Fred Flintstone. -
