Instead of a "regular adult 3 wheeler, why not consider a trike? Like a Rebike, or EZ trike, search
for one on e-bay

The Sun EZ-3 [1] is the least expensive "LBS quality" trike on the market, and can be purchased from
any LBS with a J&B Importers account (almost all shops will have an account). It is not light, but
that should not be a problem in a flat area.

Small wheels are better than large wheels on a trike for strength and durability. Unlike a bicycle,
trike wheels need to with stand fairly high lateral loads in addition to vertical loads.

Look for an old Schwinn Town and Country Tri-Wheeler.

It will have 3-speeds, 26 inch wheels and be stable, reliable, bullet-proof.
