There are far more head injuries due to assaults than from cycle accidents
How many people have you met that have been attacked by pedestrians while riding a bike? And how many hit by a car?
I've had rocks and other stuff lobbed at me quite a few times while riding my bike but only been hit once by a car. Neither resulted in head or other injuries though. HTH
