OK so i am confused, when it comes to wheels what is more important. lite weight, aero, or stiffness?
ive been looking around and am thinking about a new set of wheels to replace my entry level alex wheels. i am a novice rider with about a year under my belt, and have aspirations to race in the future, also being a collage student money dosn't fall from trees.
my current wheels weigh in at something in the order of 2000 grams according to the manufacture. i have been looking at wheels like the Rolf tempo and apex wheels, as well as the neuvations. all three look nice (they have to have some bling 😉 ) and are between 1600 and 1750 grams.
i ride flat to rolling hills that tend to be short but steep. and i just dont know what would suite me best, i also want a solid wheel set that will last and hopefully make it onto a nicer bike (not that my current ride isn't nice, felt f80) in the future, aka when i graduate and hopefully have a few races under my belt.
at 150 lb i dont think that my weight is an issue but something that will hold up is important.
anyway what is the general consensus on the subject, for solo riding on rolling to flat roads, go aero or lite weight for the best performance?
