Mmm, whole duck.
Not as impressed as usual. The pump and lock looked good for £1.99, and
maybe the jacket. Otherwise, there's not much I'd want.

glasses.I went to Lidl early this morning as they had some cycling stuff on
today's schedule. I was going to have a pair of the interesting
looking panniers, sort of Ortlieb-ish but only a tenner a throw.http://www.lidl.co.uk/gb/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20060330.p.Bicycle_Bags
I rode over to the store and found it was not there. I was rather
miffed because it's still there on their website store locator
facility, just not in real life. So I spat my dummy, sulked and
refused to ride over to their other store, balls to 'em. Carradice
Super C's here I come."Bob"

Super C's here I come.I got one of these, just a left one, and some gloves this morning.
They're massive and seem pretty good quality for the price, nice amount
of reflective stuff too. But you were probably right not to cycle to the
other store, I got there before they opened and they only had 2 or 3
pairs of them! No medium sized gloves either!Ian

looking panniers, sort of Ortlieb-ish but only a tenner a throw.I grabbed a left-hand side pannier. It's bigger than expected and clips on
and off quite easily. This compliments the 'n' shaped left+right panniers
and the 'brief case' panniers I bought late last year (also Lidl 4.99
each). On the minus side, it has an outside mesh pocket but nothing else in the way
of other compartments. Also, the backing doesn't feel very strong. I would
say that it is cardboard rather than plastic. The problem with the other two sets that I have is that they strap rather
than clip so, not much use for shopping trips.. Due to the easy clipping
system and the impressive capacity, I am considering a return trip to grab
a right-hand side pannier; this would make up my touring set for the
summer. To think, I spent most of last year (my first year back with
cycling) with no panniers :-)--

Even though I'm an Aldi fan.... no, I wouldn't buy a complete bike from the
company :-)Cheers, helen s
