AMB-Idaho '04 Epic Weekend Date Set

I've got a short list started of things to bring for next year. We really do need to carry a water
filter, we've got a great backpacker's one that we'll bring. I may show up and do some DO cooking
too - that is if I don't have to retrieve Mr Adventure from off in the boonies again.

filter, we've got a great backpacker's one that we'll bring. I may show up and do some DO cooking

Well, if the trails had been maintained, it wouldn't have been any sweat. What was the interval of
downed trees? Something like one every hundred yards?

From the description, it sounded like it might have been a fun ride, if the trail were clear.

LOL. Before 2000HRS would be nice. Via e-mail to CDB, or here, I can't remember, I volunteered to
help with the vehicle shuffling. If I bring the family truckster, I can get three bikes on top, and
one in the back, plus carry 5 people and gear. I don't mind leaving parked in the boonies for
overnight, or a day, or whatever.

A 0900 crank-turn target would be good.

The Friday ride - how long, and where to?

Do we have a potluck sign-up yet?

boy you need a little educating! DO cooking is one of the best things to do for camping/rafting
trips. Not only is the food awesome, but people are usually amazed at the results too. I made a
lovely cake for my sister's 50th birthday campout. Other yummy things I've made are enchiladas and
lasagna for 12 and pots roasts. We have a friend who is a master DO cook, and there's nothing like
having pork roast in brandy cream sauce after your 5th day on the river.

as for Mr Adventure's solo epic, it was nothing like the route along the Secesh that we took. NOt
only were there numerous down treee, but narrow, extreme up and down /\/\/\/\/ all along the canyon
wall, over grown, not used and unmaintained.
