Vaujany is a possibility, I think the ride to Alpe d'Huez from Alpette
could be very nice. But Oz Station is more direct and their web page
says they will be running all day that day.

Getting back is going to be more interesting since everyone will want
to leave at the same time. I think that's where the mountain bike has
the most value if I can just ride back over the ridge that separates
Alpe d'Huez and Oz Station.
