  1. I'm 25. I'm a couple cycles into an HST routine. I do Tues, Thurs,
Sun, and I'm thinking about going 5 or 6 days per week, doing the same
routine, with the effect that I'm getting through each cycle faster
(it's not a split routine). My intention to add more days in is
because I feel so lazy on off days, even if I go jogging. I feel like
I could be lifting more frequently. But then I'd have to do the
deconditioning rest week every 3-4 weeks instead of every 6, which, if
I could raise one eyebrow, would make me.

I might try it regardless, but has anyone tried this with HST? Or
non-HST? Almost all of the suggestions in this regard that I've seen
are to lift every day only if you're doing a split routine, and
    otherwise wait 48 hours.

My main hesistation is having to deal with the larger crowds at the
gym on the popular weekdays, Mon-Wed-Fri. (I purposely go
    Tues-Thur-Sun now to avoid them)

Have you read (and more importantly understood) the principles of HST?
Nope. Re-read them then see if you still think your idea makes any sense.
(even at 18 it's not a good idea, and at 25 it's even less so)

Now, if you want to workout 5 days a week fine, but I'd suggest you look at
a split not a full body routine.

Then why come on here and ask, if you are going to do something stupid
anyway? You just need the insults? There IS a reason why nobody else
does that, muscles need rest and recovery time. What you are feeling is
called "recovery", and is the way you should feel on days off.

You aren't working hard enough then if you don't need the days off.

    Exactly.

I really doubt there's a lot of difference in those days. Monday is
usually real busy with people trying to start the week off right.
Friday is the usually the opposite. At least for after 5 pm.

    Dave -

Don't necessarily listen to the knee-jerk responses you've been told.

It *is* possible to do a 6x a week HST split, you just need to cut down
your sets. I did this several years ago with good results (when I had
    more time!)

But basically, you take your 3x a week routine and split it in half. I
was doing 1x per bodypart, per day.

So, where normally you would do 2 sets per bodypart per day (3x a
week), I simply did 1 set per bodypart per day (6x a week). Same
amount of sets per week. Your body can certainly handle and responds
pretty well to it. I can't say there is much of a difference w.r.t. to
gains, but if you like to be in the gym everyday and have time, you can
    certainly do it.

Then why come on here and ask, if you are going to do something stupid
anyway? You just need the insults? There IS a reason why nobody else
does that, muscles need rest and recovery time. What you are feeling is
called "recovery", and is the way you should feel on days off.

Geez, maybe I should have posted this on a Friday, when people are in
    a better mood?
