The EL530 is about £50 and 50% brighter than the EL520 which is about
£40. Both have quite a narrow beam and project a spot on the road
ahead; no good for night off-road stuff.

I pulled back from purchasing one and will continue with my halogen
set-up for a little longer.

Try geargurl on eBay - £27 delivered, and a rated seller by quite a
few cyclists here in the UK. I've got one and it's very bright, much
more so than the EL500.

would be my preference for road use. Had mine for a year now. Genuine
6hrs at full power + red light comes on with at least 1hr of decent
light available. Sometimes on European e-bay - need to trawl around -
buy with a charger unless you already have a decent AA charging system
(it akes 5 AA's).

Must be out of stock atm. Email them, or wait a bit, a new supply will
likely come up soon. I just bought a second 530 from a different
supplier, but it hasn't arrived yet.
