We spent last weekend in Davenport as my birthday getaway. We live about an
hour and a half SW of there.
Haven't been to The Boat House but will have to check it out. I can
recommend the Thunder Bay Grill at the North end of Brady Street. Especially
for Sunday brunch. They have an omelet bar and Belgian waffle bar, and both
are excellent. Cracker Barrel is also in the area, if that interests you.

We'll be working on Sunday (the art show encompasses setup on Friday, the
preview Friday night, the weekend, and then tearing down on Sunday evening).
But thanks for the recommendation! We may try it for dinner one night after
the show or the day before we have to set up.

We can get Cracker Barrel just about anywhere. IIRC there was a place
called The Village Inn which served up good breakfast and also featured a
soup of the day for lunch. We both love soup 🙂 And the servers were
almost *too* cheerful (if such a thing is possible!)

Blue Cat Brew Pub. It's right by the casino in Rock Island. Great food and

65 miles from me - if it's still hot, you won't see me ;-) Re the
tenderloin filets, bring your ice chest and find a dry ice purveyor
before you come, and stop at an old-fashioned butcher's or supermarket
and take some home with you. Most Iowa beef is from Iowa. LOL.

Have fun! (Is the Dock still in business? It was our favorite
Quad-Cities restaurant when I was young.)

The Village Inn is a franchise - pretty good modern "diner-type" food
along with some fantastic pies.
