Update on the Limoncello I made: The vodka (100 proof) infused bottle
sits in the freezer and is GLORIOUS! Beautiful color, smooth taste,
quite refreshing! I'll be serving it to family at Thanksgiving.

The last time I tested the grain alcohol infused batch it was tasty, but
had a bit more "burn" than I like. It may have improved a bit yet over
time and certainly would be better cold. I only had room in the freezer
(in the kitchen) for one bottle at a time. Fratboy did make off with one
of the bottles (a fifth!) so I'll have to get his impression when he
    comes for TG.

Years ago, friends (an Italian family) always included me in an annual pre-
Christmas traditional Italian meal. Strega was always served that night.
Yes, I like it very much, though I've never bought it myself.

So, what brand of Vodka did you use, if I may ask?

Wow, I haven't seen a bottle of Strega in years, glad to know it's still
    around and kickin' 🙂

Nice move! Limoncello is good only when you make it at home, otherwise it
usually is a mighty headache bringer, LOL. Never have more than one, in
    italian pizzerias.

Yes, I'm also glad to hear it's still around. Another liqueur I like
was recently discontinued. That was Amer Picon from France. I used it
to make a great drink, the Picon Punch. Anybody else like those?
