Does anyone here have any experience of a 40litre rucksack that argos sell called the Columbia Milagra Ridge 40? Here is the shortened link http://tinyurl.com/9eu8q
The site lists it at 49.99 but I have seen one on the 'end of line' pile at the local store for 16.99. Unfortunately, I can't find any reference to it online. It has some sort of air mesh on the back and seemed to be of a rigid design. I wonder if it is a pack of the same quality as the ones which places like Aldi do for 15 pounds or so? If so, Argos might have put it on the site for 49 to exagerate the value?

Got a couple of their shirts when I was working in the US and they are good. I have not seen any of their rucksacks (and can't find it on their site) so can't comment on them but it wouldn't surprise me if it was quite good...

Is 100 denier nylon material durable enough? Argos generally have quite keen prices but a lot of their stuff is unique to them so comparison can get quite hard.
Says 100 in the paper catalogue too. The Cross Trek looks a lot "cheaper" and uses "lightweight 300 denier mini-ripstop polyester fabric", whereas the more fancily named Milagra Ridge 40 Litre Technical Backpac is made of "ultra lightweight 100 denier diamond nylon".
So there you go, the nylon is made of diamonds instead of nasty polyester! That's no doubt why it costs so much more! ;-)

Cool, would there be any that cheap at mine? Not that I really need a new rucksack but it looks like a nice design. If it is half decent that's a good price.

Not sure. The roped off 'S' shaped cue area near the tills had a few special offers and 'catalog clearance' boxes.
