As the TdF approaches, I find myself checking the latest cycling news sources more and more frequently, just waiting for the announcement that a favorite GC contender (or team) has been banned from the race.
Vino and Valverde would probably like to "fast forward" to July 7th and get this race started.

Who won the 2006 Tour?

Does it really matter?

In the end---it is just an exhibition theater show.

Nothing to take seriously.

I would love to be a fly on the wall at some of the weekly meetings..... probably daily meetings at this point.

It is all good.

For years so-called sports news was really fantasy fraud. Cheating masked by sportswriters (frauds with laptops) and TV commentators (frauds with microphones and cameras).

Now the fans have more truthful data points---they all dope and lie--and are thus liberated to speculate as to what is really going on inside the veins of these cow blood fueled doper machines.

We are still guessing---but at least we are not duped as before.

Nobody believes Bjarne Riis and CSC anymore except the fools and doper apologists.

It is all good for our sport. It is what it is.

They will reap what they sow. Vino has talked about how this is his last chance to win Le Tour, and I don't think he just meant that age was catching up on him. I think he was also fully aware that the methods of his era would soon be untenable. Maybe that day has already come and his last chance already gone? I mean, he talks as if he was the innocent victim of last year's events but his DS was en route to a training camp with him and his team when he was busted with the blood bags. It's a shame, but really only in that the UCI, the team directors and the riders themselves didn't stop all this [censored] back in 1998. They all carried on and look where we've ended up. I have no sympathy for Vino.

Yeah it feels like a roller-coaster ride...and no-one's turned a pedal in anger yet!
We've created a 68 Tour guide that's free with the Guardian this Monday 2nd - but who knows - maybe we'll have to revise some of those line-ups?
(Not that we can - it's gone to press)

So no Eddy M - hardly a surprise I suppose. Signing the document is a calculated risk for Vino. This is his last ever chance to win Le Tour, so it's a gamble he's willing to take. Last year, with the impending hip op, Landis thought it was his last ever chance to win Le Tour, and look where that got us.

Vino can't make it to France to sign the document before the Tour so he is going to send Fuentes on his behalf......

Thats more like it...... need some more name dropping and [censored] stirring from the riders.... if Jaksche does drop a bomb is a fair thing to do...... why should Jaksche and Ullrich be raped by their prison pals whilst Vino goes onto winning the Tour and become the next King of Kazahhstanssdjshstan.

Exactly, why should the omerta persist if riders like Ulle and Jorge prematurely end their careers and continuing to dope riders like Vino ride Pro Tour races with ease, leant over their handlebars shouting, "look at me, I'm king of the world!"

Jaksche gave an interview to German magazine Der Spiegel, it will be published on Monday. Jaksche will also be a crown witness for sports and state authorities. He was interrogated for 10 hours and more interrogations will follow. Jaksche will not only speak about himself he will explain the system and will tell names...

Me too, but there were a lot of indicators as to what is next.
