Just got all of the bumph from Audax UK having bitten the bullet and signed up.
Might get my first one in in March at Birdwell. Must get off my butt and get out more.
I am having a leisurely ride with three colleagues tomorrow. It will be the first time all my bikes will be in action at the same time. The Selby-York cycle route should be a gentle enough introduction for them. They are confidently talking about cycling back to Selby from York....we'll see.....

t'other Vernon in Leeds
Hopefully mine will have arrived today too. I have signed up for Cheadle 200 on Feb 27th and Poynton 200 on March 20th. There are some closer ones to Leeds that I have pencilled in too. Anyone else here doing the two I have mentioned ?

I fancy the Poynton as well, but TBH I'm going to see how I get on with the Cheadle-Newport first ;-)
training going well anyway - up to 150 miles this week. (not all at once though!!) my 14 mile each way commute has come down from 1hr 5 to sub 50 mins every day, with a PB of 47 mins. I take it easy too, at what I'd imagine is a decent Audax pace.
Oh, and I'm loving every inch of it - including leaving the house this morning at 6.15 in the freezing cold. Just after watching the sunny racing on C4...

Tony B
I'm counting on you Tony for Poynton, I have actually recruited someelse too.
I'm in for the 27th Feb 200Km. Really looking forward to it, have the route programmed into the GPS and all set to go! Training not going so well mind, been V. busy recently. Having said that I know I can go the distance and am more than happy to be the last finisher. :-)
See you there!

I tried to plot the route on my map last night with little success. I hope it'll be easier when were out there. Failing that I'll just follow you Chris. I'll be on a blue Raleigh tourer with silve mudguard. I'll be sporting either a green+red 7Up hat or a blue+red Pepsi one, both have red ear warmers !!!
