Yeah, I've never heart myself really badly on an 'early' run. Bit
like you always find the thing you lost in the last place you look

Right! ;^) You're on to the reason behind the curse of the last
run. It's usually after you've been going hard all day, you're tired
and reactions have slowed but your confidence is sky high from a good
day riding. The desire to cap the day off with one more bit of fun
usually winds up in disaster. Didn't ski patroller Penny mention
once that statistics bore out that this happens mostly to 40-50 year
old men?
