Have any of you ever barfed from putting forth a big effort on the bike? (for you English-as-a-second-or-third-language folks, barfing = losing your lunch, tossing your cookies)

Nope. Winded, tired, sore yes but not sick.

Yes. So much so, that many of my cycling friends referred to me as "Puke Skywalker".
It was mainly an issue on strenuous early morning efforts, after not eating a regularly sized meal since the night before, and then eating breakfast too close to ride time.

I hear you on that one, Scottri. The closest I've come is after a 10K TT on a cold, windy, damp morning. The hacking dry cough that assaulted me afterward almost did the dirty deed. -
Only once, after my first triathalon. A true testament to why it is imperative to eat correctly, especially when doing any physical activity.

Not yet 🙂
Come close a few times on the bike and I have "woof'd the cookies" after running the 400 meter in high school.

I've felt it coming on a few times but never actually thrown up.

Only once. After an afternoon of drinking beer and eating steak tips with friends. I decided to go for a drunk ride (I KNOW, stupid, I KNOW)...Only went about 10 miles before I had to pull over and barf. Felt better immediately continued bikeing drinking and eating...
