If you look at pictures they are often leaning over a bit. It is possible to pull down the bib and lean forward to free the little demon. Also some bibs are more low cut than others eliminating the need to lean forward. Thanks for the question, I finally realized a cycling skill I can do as well as a pro!

I used to ski race, so you wore a downhill suit, making very similar urinary circumstances. So I ave the downhill/Roadie squat mastered.

Out the attic or out the basement ..... all depends on the length of your rope. I've seen guys riding along and simply roll up one leg of their bibs and let it fly. Never quite mastered that technique.......

The problem with the "basement", as you so elequently put it, for me at least, is the pressure put on the region, cutting off flow.

Never could master the basement effect myself. My brother can do it with ease, course he is hung like a freakin' horse and doesn't have to roll up the shorts leg much!
For me I have to suffice with a pull down and a hunch over maneuver.
