  1. I am in need of customizing a Tandem Bike for a filmed Public service Announcement featuring two
Comedy Superheros Who travel By Bike. Does anyone make premade attachable accessories, flashy
fenders, bat type wings etc. that I can get to supe up the look of a tandem . I don't have a big
budget. Who can paint a bike frame? In the end I need a bicycle version of the Batmobile.I know
nothing about bikes. Thanks for your input BG

I might be easier to answer your question if we know what city you're
    in.

Don't forget to add a Zzipper faring...

I have one of these on my winter commuter, you'd be amazed at the number of "COOL BIKE!" comments I
    get from kids.

It would be easiest to start with a fully faired recumbent tandem; that would look super-heroish
enough on its own; just attach a death ray gun.

    *Yawn*- started that already: ohpv.orgneils106.htm

The Kinetic Sculpture folks probably have a few methods for creative decorating on a budget. Start
at ksr.corvallis.or.usksr.corvallis.or.us and kineticsculpturerace.orgkineticsculpturerace.org and look around. They've
got a mailing list- any questions will likely elicit entertaining responses.

Aha. Look up the local Art Car crowd. They understand the arts of construction and scrounging as
    applied to mobile machinery.

  10. There WAS a bicycle helmet (Bailen) which was solid black, with no holes. When the first film came
out (NON the one with Adam West), I taped a couple of "Batman" ears made out of cardboard on it.
    Looked pretty "Dark Knight" too!

As for components with bat wings, I haven't seen any.

Yes, that's the windshield. Nope, not Europe, I'm right here in Wisconsin, with all the other bluff-
climbing cheeseheads. The site I posted is the manufactuerer, although a lot of their information
looks old (you should have seen the site until recently!). Here's their contact info, from the site:

    Toll Free: 888-winscrn (888-946-7276)

Mine is a slightly older uprint (road bike) model that I got for free from a friend in Australia(!).
He'd bought one because of a claim that they speed you up, but found it too warm to use (it reduces
airflow over the core body significantly). I use it for precisely the reason he didn't like it,
since windchill during a Wisconsin winter can get nasty...
