I'm currently doing bench dips with 2 sets of 18 reps. Instead of doing more
reps in 2 sets, would it be better to increase the difficulty and do 2 sets
of fewer reps, or go the 3 sets of even fewer reps? Thanks. --Jon

reps increase the difficulty?Lay a plate across your lap might be the ticket. *Weighted* bench
dips, right?Go, and (be) thin no more. ;o)

Yes, increase the weight with a plate and reduce the number of reps. 3
sets of 8 would be a good start. Mix it up with 4 sets of 5 reps with a
heavier weight every 3-4 weeks. Also do weighted dips. -
Instead of increasing the weight with a plate, I thought about elevating my
feet to increase the difficulty. I like the idea of mixing it up, too.
Thanks."Gary" <[email hidden]> wrote in message

Thanks. If you elevate your feet too high, the torso comes forward when you descent,
and the shoulder joints will get a lot of stress at a weird angle.Best thing to do is to elevate your feet 1 1/2 feet of the floor, and add
some weight.Or do vertical dips.
