best bib shorts

I've got two pairs of Nikes that are my favorite shorts ever. Basically the same thing Postal used and Discovery uses now.

Everyone is going to have some different ideas and fit and comfort is a very personal thing but FWIW my input from the above:

Shorts are like saddles, what fits my behind might not fit yours at all. Brands that have really worked for me are Castelli and Campagnolo (the latter's bib shorts are awesome). At what can be better than matching components and clothing! 😄

Been using Louis Garneau for a couple of years (free team gear). Very pleased. Nalini is a good brand as well. Sadly, like others have mentioned, we really can't say "go buy brand xyz" since every butt is unique. Plus you have to consider who you are asking. I could wear a speedo for 20 miles just tooling around by the beach, but I better have a good fit for a race or a century. And another thing, always go commando.....

I've found Voler shorts to be pretty good overall, and very inexpensive compared to some others. I also like the lower end Castelli's--with the KISS chamois--those are quite comfortable too. I'd like to give the higher end Assos or Castelli a try, but find it hard to justify $200 for some shorts when the cheaper ones seem to be fine for me so far.... 😕 Still, if I had the money I'd buy some Assos shorts to try before anything else. 😎

Yeah, but when I do that I always end up in a quandry..."chamois cream or not?" Sliding off the seat is sooo embarassing!!:p

Sorry, I pictured a rider not wearing anything...butt naked - I did not even consider someone wearing underwear under their bib shorts! 😄

Buy the new De Marchi Contour Plus. The chamios is the same as the ones Assos uses. Very reasonable prize at Bicyclinghub.com.

Castelli "Y Pro 3" .... or anything Castelli with the Comfort-temp synthetic chamios ......... even the Squadra line of Castelli is kickin 😉 🙄 :o

I have a pair of Descente bibs that aren't as good as the Descente shorts I have. Gonna try the Exte-Ondo next.
