best way to wash fresh vegetables, and I did give that a lot of thought.
My
first wife and I split back in the late 70s, and the original argument
that
led to the split was centered around her claim that I did not properly
wash
the lettuce for the salad I had prepared.
It's the little things that make a marriage :-) The only reason I got
married (briefly) back in 1981 was that he washed my dishes. Turns out
that just wasn't enough to offset his total irrationality in every OTHER
situation. Ah well, live and learn (and accept that I'd rather wash my
OWN damn dishes than be miserable the rest of the time).

It's amazing that we settle for someone who fits our immediate needs, but we
never think enough of ourselves to demand what we deserve.
Thaffy, I would be happy to walk into your house, wash your dishes, walk
out, and wait for you to call me to ask if I actually did wash your dishes.
I would treat it as not a big deal. You once treated it as something worth
marrying over.
How weird is THAT?
Of course, if you have a LOT of dishes, it MIGHT require a great deal of
affection. Have to play it by ear, you know.
