Bike Saddle For Long Rides

I don't think there is such a saddle.

I think its just that this topic has just been done to death a bit. Do a search and you'll find it's an oft discussed topic. My advice - A saddle with a cut out is quite nice for not squashing the sensitive parts and ventilates nicely, otherwise everyone has differently shaped anatomies and will find different saddle shapes better than others. As for your butt, saddle time will toughen it up, its kind of like breaking in a new pair of shoes.

I know, I was just busting her cycling shoes a bit. Feltgirl can find out most anything she wants by just asking her incredibly amazing hubby (me), however she's trying on her own to learn what she can and I think that's great!

Have you tried the Selle Italia Lady Genuine Gel? I just got one and I love it. I rode 30 miles, and have no pain at all. It does not have a cut out, for some reason I find a cut out painful. Maybe you should check it out

I just did a century last weekend and my once-comfortable saddle turned to a rock about 70 miles. I still haven't found the perfect saddle after trying a multitude over many years. I think finding the ultimate padding in the shorts may have to be the answer.
