'accident'? To my mind an accident is something which was
totally unforseen and beyond the control of any of the

with the legal definition. For example, when a coroner
records a verdict of "accidental death", it does *not* mean

happened in time to stop before killing the cyclist? That

lane which leads up to an ASL. Hopefully the police
investigation will be made public.

So she may have used it thinking it would offer some
protection from the vehicles around her. Needless to say,
the lorry driver should have been aware that it was in
place, and therefore cyclists may make use of it.I never use those lanes. I would _definitely_ not use one to
go inside an HGV. -

It is now behind railings and coloured in to match the
pavement, but you can still see the embossed bike symbols.--
